The CzechInvest Startup Support project ran from 2016 to 2022. It supported early-stage entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic and abroad through intensive mentoring and by facilitating valuable connections. The project supported 213 unique startups, which participated in one of the four programs a total of 363 times. In total, 233 international missions were organized across 16 destinations worldwide.
The project consisted of four programs: CzechStarter, CzechDemo, CzechMatch, and CzechAccelerator. During these programs, startups had the opportunity to meet international mentors and consulting firms that helped them grow their businesses and connect with potential partners. The programs also included workshops, international trade fairs, and conferences, where startups gained their first international clients.
Thanks to this project, many startups achieved success, and 27% of them secured investment. The total value of these investments amounts to CZK 2 billion.
Czech Founders project gathers data from public sources, e.g. media specialized on startups. As they claim: "Our goal is to help Czech tech startup founders and startup enthusiasts in their funding and growth strategies by giving them access to critical data about other startups." Czech Founders get their inspiration in similar startup lists in countries like Estonia, Latvia or Slovakia. Their data are considered in professional community as valuable source of information.
