Speakers

Konrad Young

Dr. Konrad Young earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He has a wealth of experience, having worked as a researcher at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory and as a senior technologist at HP. He also served as the R&D Director at TSMC, where he led the development of advanced semiconductor processes, including the 0.18-micron, 0.13-micron, and 65-nanometer technologies. After his tenure at TSMC, he worked as an independent director at SMIC and as a technical advisor to Intel. Currently, he is a professor in the Leadership Program at National Taiwan University.

David Emler, Ph.D.

Has been a full-time assistant professor at the Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University since 2009; from 2022, he has been serving as Vice-Dean for the development of the faculty. Since 2024, David has been the director of the Supply Chain Resilience Center (SCRC) – a research consortium between National Chengchi University (NCCU) and Charles University. In his teaching and research, he focuses on contemporary history and politics in France and cultural history in Central Europe. David holds a double degree “cotutelle” Ph.D. in contemporary history and political science from the University Paris Nanterre and Charles University.

Jackie Tseng

Jackie Tseng joined ITRI to oversee business development, particularly in semiconductor technology. With over 18 years of experience coordinating international business projects, especially with public companies from Taiwan, Japan, the U.S., and Europe in the fields of advanced back-end packaging and power semiconductor, she has assisted her project partners in establishing business opportunities and building their reputations in various product domains. Jackie currently serves as the Deputy Industrialization Director at ITRI.

Jan Lehký

An expert in ESG, construction, and large infrastructure projects. He has long helped investors navigate complex permitting processes and develop sustainable strategies. Actively involved in shaping construction legislation through ministerial working groups, he is one of the leading voices in the Czech ESG regulatory debate. At seminars and conferences, Jan bridges law, business, and practice—clearly, pragmatically, and without unnecessary legalese.

David Pejšek

David Pejšek has been serving as the Director of the Investment Financing Department at CzechInvest since November 2021. In this role, he advises foreign investors and expanding Czech companies on the process of obtaining investment incentives or other forms of financial support and mediates contact with ministries and state institutions. 

Petr Sodomka

Petr Sodomka works as the Head of supply chain management at Vitesco Technologies Czech Republic, in the Trutnov plant. The company has been acquired by Schaeffler Group in 2024. 

 Mr. Sodomka has joined the company, a traditional tier 1 supplier within the automotive industry, in 2018. The Trutnov plant produces multiple products related primarily to engine powertrain (e.g. fuel pumps, turbochargers, emission & pressure sensors, actuators, recirculation valves, etc. Before joining Vitesco, Petr worked for 15 years at Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech (now only Toyota). During his time there, he passed through several departments, mostly in managerial positions. In addition to logistics, he also worked in the HR department or production management. His first work experience was at Witte Automotive, where he worked for three years as a logistics manager. He has worked for a total of 24 years in the automotive industry, of which 13 years have been in logistics and supply chain management. 

Industry–Czech businesses involved in the semiconductor industry and value/supply chains, along with companies from other sectors that aim to integrate and connect with national and global semiconductor value chains and perceive this as an opportunity for transformation and growth.
