Czech Semicon Days 2026 will connect the Czech semiconductor ecosystem with European and global leaders. It will also expand to Brno and Ústí nad Labem

The CzechInvest agency is organizing the international forum Czech Semicon Days 2026 from May 18–20. This year’s edition subtitled “Semiconductors for Future Mobility,” reflects the Czech Republic’s ambition to become a major player in the field of semiconductors and strategic technologies. In Prague, Brno, and Ústí nad Labem, dozens of representatives from technology companies and industry organizations will meet with government officials, representatives from academia and research, and startups.

The Czech semiconductor sector currently comprises approximately 80 companies and more than 11,000 specialists. The domestic ecosystem builds on a strong tradition of electrical engineering, advanced research and growing capabilities in the fields of chip design, power electronics, electron microscopy, and nanotechnology. Among other things, the Czech Semicon Days 2026 forum aims to help define challenges and opportunities and deepen cooperation at the national and international levels.

The main event will be the Czech Investment Forum conference, which will be opened on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček, together with European Commission Executive Vice-President for Technological Sovereignty, Security, and Democracy Henna Virkkunen, President of the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic Jan Rafaj, and CzechInvest CEO Jan Michal.

“Czech Semicon Days connect Czech companies, universities, and research organizations with key international partners. International cooperation, the sharing of know-how, and the integration of domestic companies into global supply chains are essential for the development of the semiconductor industry,” said Jan Michal, CEO of CzechInvest.

Leaders of the chip industry are heading to the Czech Republic

This year’s Czech Semicon Days will be attended by representatives of 80 companies from the semiconductor industry and related sectors, as well as three dozen domestic and international speakers. Among the main guests are representatives of Taiwan’s semiconductor ecosystem, led by Yuan-Chen Sun, Dean of the Industry Academia Innovation School at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and former Chief Technology Officer of TSMC. The Taiwanese delegation will also include Ching-Yao Huang, an expert in talent development, technology transfer, and university-industry collaboration.

As part of European cooperation, the event will feature Silicon Saxony - Europe’s largest cluster for microelectronics, the semiconductor industry, and ICT technologies - as well as the Bavarian Chip Alliance and the Dutch High Tech NL, with which representatives of the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster will sign a memorandum of cooperation.

The program features panel discussions, thematic seminars, networking events, and a specialized supplier day, during which the Czech Semiconductor Center will present its new service package. The detailed program is available on the website https://czechsemicondays.com/#program.

Regional centers strengthen the Czech semiconductor ecosystem

This year’s event will expand for the first time to include Brno and Ústí nad Labem, reflecting the organizers’ recognition of the growing importance of regional technology centers and their role in the European semiconductor value chain.

Masaryk University and the Brno University of Technology will offer technical tours of research and development facilities and information on current projects in the field of chip design and advanced semiconductor technologies.

Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem will focus on the chemical industry as a key component of the semiconductor value chain. Discussions will address requirements for chemicals, technical gases, the development of supply chains and infrastructure, as well as the involvement of universities and technical schools in developing new competencies.

“Czech Semicon Days represent a unique platform for connecting industrial, regulatory, and investment perspectives across the European semiconductor ecosystem. The discussions clearly show that resilience today lies not only in production capacities, but increasingly also in predictability, effective management, and cross-border coordination—and this is precisely where the Czech Republic can play a significant integrative role,” added Jan Lehký, head of the construction working group at the Association for Foreign Investment - AFI, which is the event’s main partner.

Czech Semicon Days 2026 is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic. The forum would not be possible without the support of its partners, whom the organizers would like to thank.
